Saturday September 16th 2017 – Boardman/Spartan Invitational Results

The Butler High School Cross Country teams traveled to Boardman, Ohio - Saturday September 16th - for the Annual Spartan Invitational.
"On a hot and humid afternoon the Tornado came away with some nice performances":
In the Girls Varsity Race – Butler finished a very respectable 16th of 39 elite schools. Butler was led by the medal winning performances All-State runner Maggie Welty finishing 15th overall in a fine time of 19:45 and Sophomore Autumn Pettinato in 40th in 20:35. They were followed by Chelsey Kabel in 21:30, and Seniors Erin Lemay in 21:59 and Carly Bauer 22:41.
In the Boys race Butler finished in 8th place of 44 elite teams. The boys were led by the outstanding & medal winning performances of senior Brett Brady, 15th in 16:43 and Junior Aden Dressler, 48th in – 17:19, following Brett and Aden were seniors Robbie Hays, – 17:27, Doug Kostelansky – 17:47, and Camden Seybert – 18:16.
The Teams’ next race will be Tuesday when they take on County rival Seneca Valley and Pine-Richland at Home – Start Time for the Boys race is 4:00pm girls to follow.
