Boys/Girls Varsity Bowling vs. North Allegheny High School

Golden Tornado Lose: 0 - 0
The Butler Bowlers split with North Allegheny Wednesday (2-3-21). The Girls won 7-0, led by Reegan Malis with a 491 series and high game of 179. Rachael Blose added a high game of 183. Grace Blank rolled a 484 series.  The North Allegheny boys won 4-3. Rocco Rice led Butler with a 571 series with high games of 206 & 208. Marty Imhof added a 569 series and high game of 200. Alex Ekas rolled a 224 game. Brock Hepler added a 204. NA won the opening game by 21 pin. Butler bounced back to win game two by 37 pin, before NA won the final game by 13 pins. North Allegheny had not lost a single point this season entering the match. Butler will complete their regular season next Wednesday against Seneca Valley after bowling a "bye" match Tuesday. Both teams have qualified for the WPIBL championships.

Golden Tornado Win: 5 - 2
The Butler Boys and Girls Bowling teams defeated Shaler 5-2 Friday (1/29/21) at Perry Park Bowl. The win clinched the WPIBL North Section title for the Golden Tornado Girls, and clinched a playoff spot for the Butler Boys. Eric Devore led the Butler Boys with a 666 series and high game of 248. Logan McClaine added a 619 series with a high game of 215. Brock Hepler had a 597 series with a high game of 220.  The Butler Boys are now 6-1 overall this season.    The Butler Girls remained unbeaten at 7-0 and were led by Reegan Malis who rolled a 576 series with a high game of 202. Rachael Blose added a 559 series with a high game of 201. Both Butler teams host North Allegheny for Senior Night Wednesday at Family Bowlaway. The Butler Bowling teams swept Seneca Valley 7-0 Wednesday (1/20/21). The Butler Boys were led by Brock Hepler who rolled a 639 series and high game of 253. Rocco Rice added a 587 series with a high game of 218. Butler improved to 4-1. The Butler Girls were led by Kelsee McConnell who rolled a 543 series with a high game of 204. Lauren Bash added a 531 series as Butler improved to 5-0.

The Butler High School Bowling teams swept Shaler 7-0 Friday at Family Bowlaway.  The Butler Girls were led by Reegan Malis who rolled a 590 series with a high game of 207 as the Golden Tornado improved to 3-0 this season. Rocco Rice led the Butler Boys with a 623 series and high game of 256. Alex Ekas added a 591 series. The Butler boys improved to 2-1 this season.  Butler will visit Kiski next Thursday.

The Butler Boys and Girls Bowling teams swept Kiski 7-0 Friday (December 11) at Family Bowlaway.   Sophomore Rocco Rice led the Butler Boys with a 677 series and back-to-back games of 230 and 268. Sophomore Alex Ekas had a 539 series that included a high game of 215. Sophomore Marty Imhof added a 192. Butler evened their record at 1-1.   The Butler Girls were led by senior Rachael Blose who had a 542 series and high game of 192. Senior Lauren Bash had a 531 series with a high game of 195. The Butler high school girls and boys bowling teams split with North Allegheny at Perry Park Lanes Wednesday (Dec 9) in their opening match of the 2020-2021 season.   The Butler Girls won 7-0, led by senior Reegan Malis who rolled a 614 series and had a high game of 250. Freshman Kelsee McConnell rolled a 600 series in her first varsity match, with a high game of 221. Senior Lauren Bash had a 559 series with a high game of 224. Senior Rachael Blose added a 558 series with a high game of 195.   (Match Score:  Butler 942-989-858 = 2789  / North Allegheny 383-429-340 = 1152)   The North Allegheny Boys swept Butler 7-0.
