Golden Tornado Lose: -
The Butler Bowling teams split with Deer Lakes to complete their regular season Friday night. The Butler boys won 7-0. The girls fell 5-2.  Eric Devore led the Golden Tornado with a 652 series with a high game of 235. Luke Keene rolled a 578 series with a high game of 235. Devore ended the regular season with the leading average in the WPIBL North Section at 208.35, which was also in the top 10 of the entire WPIBL. The Butler boys ended the regular season 9-1 overall.  (Boys Match Scores:  Butler:  1044-897-937/2878   Deer Lakes:  482-557-523/1562)   The Butler girls were led by Kelsee McConnell who rolled a 595 series with a high game of 230. Harley Kriess added games of 198 & 197. Natalie Coughenour had a 197. Avery Covert had a 189. The Butler girls finished the season 6-4. (Girls Match Scores:  Butler: 664-886-762/2314   Deer Lakes: 807-758-824/2389.)   Both Butler teams qualified for the WPIBL Team Championships being held in Mt. Lebanon next week.  10 Butler Bowlers also qualified for the WPIBL Singles Championships in two weeks. The boys team will send six bowlers for the first time in program history. They include: Eric Devore, Alex Ekas, Brock Hepler, Marty Imhof, Luke Keene and Rocco Rice. Four Butler Girls reached the WPIBL Singles Championships:  Natalie Coughenour, Harley Kriess, Kelsee McConnell and Makenzie Zimmerman.

The Butler bowling teams swept Shaler 7-0 Wednesday (Jan 26) at Family Bowlaway. Rocco Rice led the Butler boys with a 660 series with a high game of 233. Eric Devore added a 625 series. Marty Imhof had a 618 series and a high game of 230. The Butler boys improved to 7-1 this season.  (Match scores:  Butler: 1012-983-1007/3002   Shaler:  889-771-821/2481) The girls were led by Natalie Coughenour who rolled a 612 series with a high game of 213. Harley Kriess added a 558 series. The girls improved to 5-3. (Match scores:  Butler:  839-808-804/2451.   Shaler:  834-790-746/2370) Butler will travel to Deer Lakes for their final regular season road match Thursday, February 3rd.

The Butler Bowling teams split 7-0 decisions with Deer Lakes Tuesday. The Butler boys winning performance was led by senior Brock Hepler, who rolled a 675 series with a high game of 243. Eric Devore added a 668 and high game of 248. Marty Imhof had a 606 series.  The Butler Girls were led by Natalie Coughenour who rolled a 646 series with a high game of 225. Kaylee Lipp of Deer Lakes led all bowlers with 713 series and high game of 257. Butler will host Shaler today for Senior Day at Family Bowlaway. The Butler bowlers split with Kiski Area Thursday. The Butler boys won 7-0 behind a 736 series by Eric Devore. His series included games of 289 and 255. Rocco Rice had a 695 series with high games of 267 & 245. The boys shot the highest single game in program history with an 1178 during their second game of the match. They are now 5-1.  (Boys Match totals:  Butler:  924-1178-948/3050    Kiski Area:  554-541-617/1712) The Butler girls fell 7-0. Harley Kriess led the Golden Tornado with a 547 series and high game of 190. Kelsee McConnell added a high game of 248 and a 526 series. The girls are now 4-2 this season. The Butler Boys and Girls Bowling teams swept North Allegheny Wednesday at Family Bowlaway.  The Butler Boys defeated the defending state champion Tigers 4-3. Eric Devore led Butler with a 621 series. Rocco Rice added a 595 series and Marty Imhof rolled a 582 series.  (match score:  Butler-931-905-1022/2858.   NA-1018-870-981/2869)   The Butler Girls won 7-0 and were led by freshman Makenzie Zimmerman who rolled a 531 series and high game of 201.  Natalie Coughenour added a 517. Alex Ekas led the Golden Tornado with a 647 series and high game of 265.
