On Saturday September 19 the Tornado Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams traveled to White Oak Park in McKeesport, PA and faced off against many of the top teams in the WPIAL.

On the boys side the Tornado finished 2nd overall of 19 full teams - falling only to defending WPIAL Champion North Allegheny. The Tornado were led by the First Place Overall WINNER and Course Record Setter Junior CJ Singleton running an outstanding time of 15:46. Singleton was followed across the line by medal winning Juniors Sage Vavro (7th) and Raine Gratzmiller (21st), Sophomore Ben Lyons (23rd) (top 25 received awards) with scorers being rounded out by Senior Skyler Vavro (49th).

For the Girls it was Freshman Ava Brewster and Junior Jennifer Cichra winning medals in 18th and 24th respectively leading the Tornado to an 11th place overall finish in a tough field of 21 full teams. Rounding out Butler's scoring and running well were Juniors Aubree Tack (75th), and Kara Kemple(79th), and Sophomore Samantha Cornell (81st).
