The Butler high school boys bowling team finished third at the WPIBL team championships Wednesday at Wildlife Lanes in Lower Burrell. Butler qualifed third overall, then fell 2-1 to Franklin Regional in the semi-finals. (Franklin Regional defeated Norwin 2-1 in the championship). Jordan Reges led the Golden Tornado with a 588 series and high game of 255. Trey Barto added a 202 in his only game, which helped Butler move past North Allegheny into the semifinal round.
The Butler girls compete in the WPIBL team championships Thursday at Family Bowlaway.
