The Butler girls bowling team finished fifth at the WPIBL Team championships Thursday. 24 teams competed at the event. Kelsee McConnell led the Golden Tornado with a 566 series, ninth-best out of more than 120 bowlers. She had a high game of 205. Makenzie Zimmerman had the 16th-best series of 530, with a high game of 223.
The Butler girls will compete in the Pennsylvania Western Regional tournament March 9th in Pittsburgh.
The Butler boys season ended at the WPIBL championships Wednesday.
